HIGH LEVELS OF C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (CRP)

High levels of CRP an inflammatory marker that may warn of impending heart diseas are tied to variations in genes that control metabolism. Seven genomic regions appear to be strongly correlated with CRP levels and associated with metabolic syndrome. This was discovered by Harvard.
