Chromogenic anti-Xa method for measuring homogeneously heparin in purified systems or in plasma (tested diluted 1:10) using a two stage method, in compliance with Pharmacopoieas (USP, EP) and FDA guidelines. First, Factor Xa, in excess, is inhibited by heparin in presence of AT III, also in excess (and provided in the assay), then the residual Xa activity is measured by its activity on the specific substrate SXa-11.
