Product Description Variant assay for measuring the Resistance of Factor V (Factor V-Leiden is resistant) to its inactivation by Activated Protein C (APC), in human plasma, using a clotting method. Assay fully designed with purified proteins and enzymes. It offers a well defined identification of heterozygous or homozygous patients carrying the factor V-Leiden mutation. The clotting time of diluted plasma is assayed with or without APC, and the ratio is calculated. Normal plasmas have a ratio > 2.00.
