YG1021, YG1024 and YG1041 are plasmid-modified TA98 derivatives. YG1021 is nitroreductase (NR) overproducing, YG1024 is O-acetyltranferase (OAT) overproducing, and YG1041 is NR and OAT overproducing. These metabolically enhanced tester strains show extreme sensitivity to nitroarenes and/or aromatic amines. This basic kit contains media and an instruction manual for testing samples with YG1021, YG1024 or YG1041 using the proven Ames MPF microplate format. Please note that neither bacteria, S9, positive control compounds nor required antibiotics are included in this basic package.
