Within the normal range (<10 µg/mL), CRP concentrations have been reported to predict the risk of cardiovascular disease, in individuals, and the risk of new coronary events in patients with unstable angina and myocardial infarction. About 90% of apparently healthy individuals have CRP concentrations <3 µg/mL and, only 1% >10 µg/mL.
