This kit can be can be used in combination with any other Ames kit available from Xenometrix (Ames II, Ames MPF™ 98/100, Ames MPF™ 98, Ames MPF™ 100, Ames MPF™ 1535). Except for kits containing TA100, all strains are performed by the same assay procedure. Please use strictly the TA100 assay procedure when using this strain. The strain provided in this kit is the Salmonella typhimurium strain TA1537. TA1537 is reverted to the wild-type level by frameshift mutagens that are not readily detected by TA98 or TA1538, such as 9-aminoacridine.
