It is a glycoprotein which displays specificity toward ß-galactosides and specifically interacts with serum glycoproteins, cytochrome b5 and virus surface glycoproteins (BVDV, influenza etc.). Preparation Instructions Crotalaria juncea lectin is supplied as a solution containing between 7-14 mg/ml in 0,1 M Sodium bicarbonate, 50 mM lactose pH 8.4. In absence of lactose the lectin will start to agglutinate after a certain time. Storage at pH 8.6-8.8 causes precipitaion. Storage / Stability Store below -18°C. Can be shipped at 0°C to +10°C. Remaining shelf life is at least 12 months at the time of delivery. Product Analysis The purity of the product is decided by SDS-electrophoresis, one single band Mw about 30 kDa. The concentration of Crotalaria juncea lectin is determined by amino acid analysis.
