The system includes two Ames II™ Salmonella typhimurium strains TAMix, a mixture of six strains TA7001 - TA7006, for identifying base pair substitutions and TA98 for frameshift mutations. Reagents provided are sufficient to perform one (1) test compound in triplicate or 3 compounds if performed without replicate at 6 concentrations, zero dose and positive controls in the absence and presence of metabolic activation.
1 vial TA98, 1 vial TAMix, 1 vial Ampicillin, and incubation media are included in the kit.
The system does not include Aroclor induced S9 and positive control chemicals.
Ames II products are NOT available in the United States at this time.
