ZYMUTEST™ PF4 is an ELISA from HYPHEN BioMed for quantitative determination of Platelet Factor 4 (PF4/CXCL4) in human platelet-depleted plasma.
PF4 is released from platelet alpha-granules upon platelet activation, making it a sensitive biochemical marker of platelet activation in research settings. PF4 is also the antigen target in heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) — PF4/heparin complexes formed during heparin therapy expose neo-epitopes that trigger pathological HIT antibody formation. This purified human PF4 preparation is also available as a tetrameric protein for research use, tested for anti-heparin activity and optimized for binding capacity with heparin-dependent antibodies in HIT research models.
