FIBRIPHEN™ fibrinogen reagents from HYPHEN BioMed for quantitative determination of functional (clottable) fibrinogen in human citrated plasma by the von Clauss clotting method — the reference standard for clinical fibrinogen measurement.
FIBRIPHEN™ lyophilized and FIBRIPHEN™ LRT (liquid ready-to-use) formats are available for all analyzer configurations. When paired with LIAPHEN™ Fibrinogen antigen latex assay, discordance between low von Clauss fibrinogen and normal antigen levels is diagnostic for dysfibrinogenaemia — a clinically significant finding in thrombosis or unexplained bleeding workups. Calibrate with BIOPHEN™ Plasma Calibrator or EASYPLASMA™ Calibrator.
