ZYMUTEST™ immunoassays from HYPHEN BioMed for quantification of plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) and tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) — the primary regulators of fibrinolytic system activity.
ZYMUTEST™ PAI-1 Activity measures active (inhibitory) PAI-1 only via a Bio-Immuno-Assay functional method — more clinically relevant than total antigen for cardiovascular thrombosis risk stratification.
ZYMUTEST™ PAI-1 Antigen measures all PAI-1 forms including free active, latent, inactive, and complexed with tPA, uPA, and vitronectin. Elevated PAI-1 is associated with impaired fibrinolysis, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, and increased cardiovascular risk.
ZYMUTEST™ tPA Antigen measures the primary endogenous fibrinolytic activator; elevated tPA antigen may indicate endothelial activation or impaired hepatic clearance.
