BIOPHEN™ Plasminogen LRT is a liquid chromogenic assay for plasminogen activity. Principle: streptokinase converts patient plasminogen to plasmin ? plasmin cleaves chromogenic substrate. For detecting plasminogen deficiency (associated with ligneous conjunctivitis, impaired wound healing, rare thrombotic risk). Also decreased in DIC, thrombolytic therapy, and liver disease. CE-IVD.

  • Inter-Assay CV: < 6%
  • No significant interference observed for heparin concentrations < 2 IU/mL, Bilirubin concentrations < 0.2 mg/mL, and hemoglobin concentrations < 2 mg/mL in plasma.
  • No significant interference of plasma fibrinogen concentration in the assay.

Product Components

  • R1: 3 x 3 mL Activation reagent containing streptokinase (10,000 IU/mL) and Plasminogen-free fibrinogen, liquid form.
  • R2: 3 x 3 mL substrate, specific for plasmin and "plasminogen-streptokinase" complexes (SPm41), liquid form.
