CS-01(38) is cleaved by thrombin, releasing para-nitroaniline (pNA) measured spectrophotometrically at 405 nm. It is the most widely used thrombin chromogenic substrate in anti-IIa assay development, thrombin generation research, and direct thrombin inhibitor characterization. This substrate is the core component of BIOPHEN™ anti-IIa assay systems.
