Affinity purified human plasma deficient in Thrombin-Activatable Fibrinolysis Inhibitor (TAFI). Lyophilized format. TAFI (also known as Carboxypeptidase B2 or CPU) is activated by the thrombin-thrombomodulin complex and inhibits fibrinolysis by removing C-terminal lysine residues from partially degraded fibrin. This deficient plasma is used for the specific measurement of TAFI.
