Complete kit for anti-Xa potency testing of Unfractionated Heparin (UFH) per both the USP (Chapter <208>) and European Pharmacopoeia (Chapter 2.7.12) methodologies. Chromogenic endpoint or kinetic assay measuring heparin anti-FXa activity in the range 0.030–0.375 USP Heparin Units/mL (IU/mL).

Uses a constant amount of antithrombin (AT) incubated with sample heparin, followed by excess Factor Xa and a chromogenic FXa substrate. Residual FXa cleaves the substrate to release pNA measured at 405 nm — inversely proportional to heparin concentration.
