Heparin-free Tris-NaCl buffer for progressive (heparin-independent) antithrombin activity assays where heparin must be absent. In progressive AT measurement, AT inhibits FXa without heparin cofactor acceleration — measuring the intrinsic, non-heparin-dependent AT inhibitory rate. This heparin-free buffer ensures no cofactor contribution confounds the measurement.
