Clotting assay for Protein C (PC) activity in human citrated plasma. PC is activated by Protac® (specific activating enzyme from snake venom). CE-IVD.

Protein C deficiency — congenital or acquired — is a risk factor for venous thrombosis. Acquired deficiencies occur in hepatic disease, DIC, and during VKA therapy. Congenital Types I and II are associated with recurrent venous thromboembolism.
