S9 Cofactor Kit — ready-to-use NADPH-generating cofactor system for metabolic activation with rat or hamster liver S9 in Ames MPF, Ames II, umuC, and micronucleus genotoxicity assays. 70 mL bulk format.

S9 fractions (post-mitochondrial supernatant) contain cytochrome P450 enzymes, N-acetyltransferases, methyltransferases, sulfotransferases, and glutathione transferases — enabling Phase I and Phase II metabolite generation. The cofactor kit provides the NADPH-generating system required for P450 enzyme activity.

Contents: Buffer Salts, Glucose-6-Phosphate (G-6-P), NADP, Booster Solution, and MgCl₂/KCl. 70 mL bulk format for extended programs. Not included in standard Ames MPF kits — order separately. (Smaller 20 mL format available as APCO-0800.)

Product Characteristics

  • This kit is quality controlled for the use with the miniaturized liquid microplate Ames MPF, Ames II Test, Ames test in 6 well agar plates like MicroAmes6, Ames test in Petri dish plate like MacroAmes1.
  • In full compliance with OECD 471 guideline.
  • Sufficient for all 1 sample Ames MPF kits, all 10 sample 1- and 2- strain kits, 2 Cofactor kits are needed for the 10 sample PENTA 1 and 2 kits.
  • Storage of S9 Buffer Salts: 2-8oC, G-6-P: -20oC, NADP: -20oC
  • The products are validated for shipment at room temperature
