YG1041 is a TA98 derivative engineered to overexpress nitroreductase (nfsI) and O-acetyltransferase (oat) enzymes, dramatically increasing sensitivity to:

• Nitroarenes (e.g., 1-nitropyrene, 2-nitrofluorene) — activated by overexpressed nitroreductase
• Aromatic and heterocyclic amines (e.g., 2-aminofluorene, heterocyclic food mutagens) — activated by overexpressed O-acetyltransferase

YG1041 detects these compounds via frameshift mutations (TA98 base), and is used alongside YG7108 (the isogenic nitroreductase/OAT-deleted control) to confirm mechanism of action. For environmental carcinogen research, food safety, and pharmaceutical impurity screening. OECD TG 471 compatible.
