Purified plasminogen for fibrinolysis research, plasminogen assay development, and studies of the plasminogen activator system. Plasminogen is the zymogen of plasmin — activated by tPA and uPA to mediate fibrin degradation. This purified preparation enables calibration of plasminogen activity assays, characterization of plasminogen activators and inhibitors, and controlled fibrinolysis experiments.
