Chromogenic anti-IIa assay for antithrombin (AT) activity in human citrated plasma or purified milieu. Uses bovine Factor IIa in the presence of excess heparin. CE-IVD.

The anti-IIa method measures AT's ability to inhibit thrombin, providing complementary information to anti-Xa methods. Particularly important for detecting Type II HBS (Heparin Binding Site) AT deficiency, where anti-Xa activity may appear normal but anti-IIa is reduced. Using both methods together enables complete AT deficiency subtype classification.
