HEMOCLOT™ LA-S (Screen) is a dilute Russell's Viper Venom Time (dRVVT) screening reagent for lupus anticoagulant (LA) detection. Contains RVV activator with LOW phospholipid concentration — LA-positive samples show prolonged clotting time due to phospholipid-dependent antibody interference. Part of the ISTH-recommended two-step LA algorithm: Step 1: Screen with LA-S (low PL) ? if prolonged, proceed to Step 2: Confirm with LA-C (high PL) ? calculate Screen/Confirm ratio. Ratio >1.2 confirms LA. Also pair with CEPHEN™/CEPHEN™ LS aPTT-based screening for complete LA workup per ISTH 2009 guidelines. CE-IVD.

Product Characteristics

  • HEMOCLOTâ„¢ LA-S is performed with low concentration of phospholipids, thus LA-S clothing time is expected to be prolonged in the presence of LA.
  • No significant Heparin interference up to 1 IU/mL in the tested sample.
